To deliver our core service (XPath generation, selector discovery, and test script recording), the Extension processes the following data:

• Web History & URL Context: We detect page navigation and active tab URLs to map user flows.
• User Activity: We capture element click coordinates, mouse hovers, and input transitions to record manual test runs.
• Website Content (DOM): We read tags, classes, and IDs on web pages to formulate selector values.

2. 100% Local Processing & Storage

All processed data stays on your device.

• No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud databases, or third-party analytical platforms.
• The extension stores state information locally inside Chrome's secure chrome.storage.local sandboxed sandbox.
• Once you clear your session or reset the recording, the associated data is completely erased.

3. Third-Party Sharing

CodeStream does not sell, trade, rent, or transfer user activity, web history, or website content to third parties. We do not use advertising APIs or trackers.

4. Permissions Used

• activeTab / scripting: Used to dynamically inject the hovering inspector tool on the webpage you are currently testing.
• storage: Keeps your theme toggles and recorded locator sequences intact.
• tabs / webNavigation: Used to follow testing steps across new tabs and page reloads.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Any updates will be reflected by a version bump in the Chrome Web Store and an update to this webpage.
